New Year’s Eve 2022-2023
As the last day of 2022 approached, the River Tagus began to come alive with the arrival of more than 50 boats that gathered to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Lisbon in a truly unforgettable way.
On board, guests enjoyed a dinner specially prepared for the occasion, while appreciating the city decorated with Christmas lights.
As the clock struck midnight, everyone prepared for the tradition of eating twelve raisins on New Year’s Eve. This ancient tradition is a way of welcoming the new year and attracting good luck.
At midnight, the sky over Cais das Colunas was filled with dazzling colors and sparkles. The fireworks display provided by Lisbon City Council lit up the sky and was reflected in the waters of the Tagus. The city came alive even more, and everyone on board the boats couldn’t help but smile and admire the beauty of the moment.
In addition, we were surrounded by the imposing fireworks of Almada, Barreiro and Seixal, which are the cities surrounding Lisbon and located on the south bank of the River Tagus. It is undoubtedly a unique spectacle!
